The reserve welcomes visitors throughout the year, but the prime time for a visit is from July to October. During this period, animals congregate around watering holes and the Rufiji River in the northern part of the reserve, which is exclusively dedicated to safaris. The remaining parts of the reserve are leased to private hunting companies, playing a vital role in the management of these remote areas.
